Video Games And Children
What’s your view in video games promoting violence among children?
I personally think it’s bollocks. TV shows and movies promotes violence even more among children as they are real life people performing these violent stunts, and also many movies like spy movies portray it as cool to shoot or punch others (and they are suppose to be the good guys).
So what do you think?

Whenever someone suggests that, I want to smack them. (Ironic, maybe.)
Shoot, any time I was mad at someone at school last year, when I got home, I would play Grand Theft Auto, take a random pedestrian, pretend it was whoever I was mad at, and just beat the crap out of them. I took out rage that way, and it didn’t make me shoot up my school later. I didn’t keep it bottled in, I took it out on something that couldn’t feel it.
Now, some moronic kids might take it a step farther and people will blame the video games. Because, y’know, it’s not the parents’ fault. They can’t be held accountable for not raising their kids to be law-abiding citizens.
I think it’s the same for TV and movies — if you don’t teach kids that it’s just fantasy, that it’s not an acceptable way to deal with people, yeah, then they might go out and hurt somebody. But parents have to teach their kids to know better.
