Video Games Case Supreme Court

video games case supreme court
I view myself as neither republican or democrat. But…?

but if one of my ideals is that much blame is placed irresponsibly on media for a child’s bad behavior (whether it be school violence or teen pregnancy) rather than failure to parent the child, which of those two supports my view?

To put my view into perspective, I feel that a recent supreme court case in which California wants to ban violent video games in order to “protect the children” should throw California’s ban out. Another example is my disdain for groups like the PTC creating backlash about a Glee character GQ spread saying they’re ruining kids, and I don’t even LIKE Glee or GQ. I also think their claims of Miley Cyrus ruining girls is ludicrous- I don’t listen to her music, but it’s high time parents babysat their little girls instead of letting Miley do it for them.
@Nasty Uncle Mike: I am a Christian. Thanks for your answer!

You are a good citizen and will probably be a good parent if you put your action where your ideas are.

You do not need to fit into someone’s pigeonhole.

I tend to agree with you. You do not make good adults or good Christians by removing temptations by fiat. Rather you teach people to resist them. (Substitute your religion of choice or none for Christian). I cannot abide people who look to the government to do their jobs. I also cannot abide the folk who don’t seem to want to be responsible and pay up. I mean, I am OK with paying taxes to keep asphalt on the road I drive, and I am PROUD to have the money to pay my taxes. I have no desire to return to a system where there were pikes across the road and people had to pay tolls to individuals who had built a corduroy road. Toll booths are bad enough.

But I long ago declared myself officially without party affiliation, and I shall remain so. The only party to which I was ever registered was Republican, but that is in the past. These Republicans today are unworthy of comparison with the folk I admired, the unworthiness starting with the Gingrich era.
