Video Games Cause Violence Article

Does anyone else think that what the media covers is completely ridiculous. Video games lead to killin come on
I look in the paper today and there is an article about how iPods are either “building a bridge between common listeners or putting up a wall between them and the world.” Things that are incredibly pointless. I hate how the media is completely anti-video games just because there is violence in them and apparently people that play those want to blow your head off. Take Cover. They also blew the Dick Cheney thing way out of proportion. Sure he shot a guy…but it wasn’t with a 9mm to the face. EVERYTHING is bad for you now. I don’t care. Shopping carts give you diarreah, toilet paper causes cancer (please don’t believe that. I made it up) They are trying to “protect” you but are just telling you what not to do and this info gets to legislators who make lawas and infringe on your freedoms.
Oh I know! I can’t stand it at all. I was whatching the news about people who were against this videogame where you are like a school bully or something. The people on the news were saying like “When this game comes out everyone is going to be starting fights at school.” I have been playing videogames since I was three years old starting with Diehard on nes. I have never even thought about killing anyone. I believe that as long as parents make it clear to their kids that some things in videogames are totally inapropriate in real life, the danger is practically nonexistant. Kids are going to learn about these things eventually and I think it is actually better for them to learn it in an environment where violence is something in a television screen rather than real life.
