Video Games Industry Revenue

video games industry revenue
Does anyone know where I can look up the revenue for the video game industry?

I’m trying to write an informative essay on video games, and the RPG genre, to be more precise. I have been unable to find any good sites where I can see any form of revenue statements or even a pie chart showing how much roughly goes to each genre. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You might want to try gamasutra.com. I don’t know if it will have precisely what you’re looking for, but that’s the best website for game industry info, not just news on upcoming games but actual insider news.
