Should I start playing video games (please read)?
I’ve never really felt the urge to play video games. I usually am on the computer…but I never really play games. I have a PS2, which I rarely use. My brother only uses it.
I think starting to watch 24 triggered a love for shooting-type games. I suddenly wanted to pick up the disk for Call of Duty 2 and kill the Nazis. I had fun and felt that it is as close to real life as it gets.
Yesterday I watched the E3 convention, and I was amazed. I drooled over the XBOX 360, and all of the other games. Especially Call of Duty 4. The idea of a modern shooting game with cutting-edge graphics really got to me.
My question for you all today is whether or not I should get a 360 and play video games. I’m just afraid that my schoolwork may suffer if I play games or I may become addicted to them. What do you think?
As long as you balance your schoolwork and playing time, so it doesn’t get neglected, there’s nothing wrong with getting that 360! Go for it! Just make sure not to overdo it, because trust me, I learned the hard way, DO NOT NEGLECT YOUR PERSONAL LIFE & SCHOOLWORK. You’ll be destined for failure if you play too much..just if your friends and stuff start to tell you you’re obssessed and you need help, turn off the 360, don’t touch call of duty 4 no matter what and just go out for awhile, if you ever get addicted, it’ll be hard to let go, but after a certain point, someone will intervene. It’s all about self-control, really, if you have enough self-control, you have nothing to worry about!
Although, me personally I love the PS3 waaay more. My opinion, just thought I’d throw that out there.
