What is the best video game system for a family with young children?
It need not be the newest system out there but something that has great graphics and a wide variety of games suitable for young children. We would also like DDR.
If you are looking for a system that has a lot of games for a younger audience, many of which allow 2 or up to 4 players at the same time, it would definitely be investing in a Nintendo Gamecube. Already been established as a family system and has a huge selection of games waiting to buy. The only problem with the Gamecube is that, although there are plenty of games for children (Mario Party, Animal Crossing, Super Monkey Ball, but the legend of Zelda Wind Waker if you are a little older), which will produce games before, if not already done so, because the Wii. Of course, that opens the door to get old games for sale, and there is never anything wrong with that, eh? Nintendo Wii is new, so you can not have so many children's games yet, but I'm sure they will. In addition, drivers are sure to maintain interactive children occupied. Of course, with the drivers, is probably a good idea to keep an eye on younger children, so that it does not get out of his hands and fly through a window. It really depends on how old your kids are. My nieces (aged 4 and 6) I can win a lot of Gamecube games, and have been playing video games my entire life. And with so many games allowing multiple players, the whole "it is not sharing" issue never arises. So, long and short, I prefer the Gamecube, for now. You should be able to get discount systems, you will have access to a large database of games for children. Oh, and launched a Mario themed DDR for Gamecube. That was about a year or so ago, so you may have to do some searching for it. Hope this helps! Side note: For anyone who has children and has already bought the Xbox 360, my nephews love Viva Piñata. It's about making a garden that is attractive to different residents Piñata Island. The better your garden, the better the piñatas (although it has its challenges. Like when you finally get the elephant to come in the garden, the great oaf keeps flattening the other residents). The graphics are stunning, the game is fascinating, and the challenge is appropriate for many age levels different. One of the most interesting, especially for my youngest niece, is that although it is a one player game, you can turn on a second driver place to "help" when needed. I would not buy the 360 for children, since Microsoft is not known for the extinction of many friends kid games as Nintendo, but if you happen to have it, I can not recommend enough Viva Piñata.
